Purposes of a Music Video

Today in class we studied the reasons why music videos are created and how effective this can be we wrote down a few reasons why music videos are created , we said music videos are created to:

1. Show the songs meaning and express emotion
2. Show the song in an alternative way
3. Spark debate or some sort of controversy
4. Promote the artist 
5. Tell a Story
6. Target a particular audience
7. Raise awareness 
8. Appeal to a visual audience
