Evaluation Question 1:In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

In our music video we used key conventions of real media and challenged forms and conventions effectively.The music we used was Rnb with a little bit of Hip Hop however the pace of the song was quiet slow therefore we had to make sure we edit the pieces together in the right way with the right angles and lighting effects which creates a buzz and demand for views. 

In this next shot i show you a picture of the video we got our idea from, this is a video from Bow wow and it shows him walking a long while being filmed form the side this inspired us and we therefore used the same thing but changed it a little bit and made our shot appear a little more closer so that the camera can show all the emotion and passion shown in the scene by the performer.

 Below this is the picture of how we used it to inspire us as in the shot below he is doing a very similar thing as they are both walking down a road while being recorded from the side , however we slightly changed ours and made sure that the emotion in the face is captivated by the camera and we used special effects to add more emphasis on the lights behind.

The main reason i used Bow Wows video as an example to inspire my personal video was because of the similarities of the song and i really liked the way the bright lights were displayed in their song which made want to apply to our music video and try and make it a success and in the video everything is so similar to the kind of taste i have in music and music videos generally and personal that is why this video was chosen.


Our media product develops forms and conventions of real media products because they are what generally would be in a rnb video , a male singing about a women and wanting her back or being in love with her, however our music video also challenges it because it has a rap part and rap conventions more often than not include scenes of women who are inappropriately dress however our music video does not even have a woman in it at all so in that way it challenges media conventions for that type of video. 


 Furthermore another video that inspired me and was something that i took ideas of was the video called my baby by Bow wow again , this video as you can see below has him looking straight into the camera with passion and it creates a very strong effect so i thought i would try and put that into my own music video too and show that same passion and desire as both the music videos are about the same thing

Below you can see the similarities in the way they are both sitting down on the steps and looking straight into the camera with passion and emotion which shows what kind of effect we wanted the video to have on the audience. Our Music video has a meaning and has a lot of  reference to Bow wow music videos as i believe his videos are unique in a way and portrays the song very well so we tried to use our media product to portray the same thing.
