last day before we break up for christmas

As we break up today , it will be the last day that we can edit our music video before we break up for the Christmas holidays. however we will be continuing our music video after the holidays to ensure that our work is complete and too a very high standard as we have very high expectations  for this work

Creating a Logo

While Browsing the internet i discovered a website that allows you to create Logos which can be helpful because when we are creating the Music Video we may want to add a Logo to it which can help the video to look a lot more presentable.

Travel Arrangements

As we are shooting our video far away from school we will need to make travel arrangements and plans to determine how we get there and how much money we need to spend including whether we are taking the tube or if we are taking a cab or getting dropped there by parents.

Permission Granted !

Yesterday we went out to make sure that we have permission to film in every areas in London, i am pleased to say that our trip yesterday was very successful and we are allowed to film so we will be making other arrangement plans

Asking for Permission for Location

Today we traveled all the way to London to make sure that we are allowed to film in certain areas , This is done to make sure we are prepared for any out comes that  may possibly arise, as we want the our video to have the best location and mise en scene possible we are willing to make this type of sacrifice.

How videos are created

this is an example of how professional videos now are shot these videos are created with high tech cameras and high levels of editing skills to market the music that they create, however videos are not as expensive as they once was. Michael  Jackson made the most expensive ever video at $7Million which nobody has ever matched and nobody will ever match it because people do not make profit from a music video.

however lady gaga is still known for making expensive videos however she is yet to spend $7 Million on a music video.

Behind the scenes

this video showed me how videos are created behind the scenes this is important as it gave me some kind of indications of how the professionals create videos. this will also help me when i do my own video because before i watched this video i had no clue of how they actually created videos now i know that when they create the video they do numeral scenes and then edit it together which is what we are going to do with our own music video however we are not going to have the actual equipment that they are going to have however we are going to have some more knowledge of how it is done professionally. 

Locations for music video

we decided this would be the best place to film our main video because of the lights and it fits very well with the mood we are trying to put across by our video, we are also going to be filming in another setting but this is our main setting. we were inspired by using london as our video by a great video by Bow Wow called "she the bomb".

Digi packs

here are some famous digi packs these are part of the reasons these artist have sold so well, digi pack play a crucial role alongside the music and promotional aspects of the CD, some albums are remembered more because of how it appealed to people not because of the music although music also has a big effect on sales of albums

Justification of ideas in relation to genre and artist

our song is about a guy who regrets neglecting his girlfriend all the time and then in the end tries to win her back by asking for her back, however our video also has another message which is about being a star and money and glamour.

this is why in the ideas that we have planned for our music video we have planned to mix the video up that is why we have made the video in London where there are all the lights and then we are also going to do scenes which will relate back to the other message which will be flashbacks, scenes of him in the past before being a star.

the artist that we have chosen is much like us in what their hobbies and likes are that is why we chose his song because we can relate to his music more than anybody else s music that is why we have chosen him because that way we could put passion into the music video which will ensure it comes out better.

November

This month we are hoping to finish all of our planning for the music video so that we can start filming our video, we are going to try and finish everything in the next two weeks and then the filming can begin. without planning for the video the video cant be successful therefore we are going to put a lot of time and effort in this month to try and complete the planning.

I got the definition of Copyright from Wikipedia

Copyright is important because it helps me too make sure that i research my video properly and do not use things i do not have the rights for , for example using a song that is not mine for my own benefit and promotional use, this can only be done if permission is gained.

this video is a really go example of go use of editing, lighting and speed. the editing is done so that everything matches and the pace of the editing keeps you in flow with the music video, the song is also very relevant to the video that was created with it and it helps to understand what the song is about, we hope to learn from this video so it can help us make everything about our own music video relevant.

this is my favourite music video and the music video helped me like the song even more because the music video had lights women, cars and money, which are all the things i like and these are the things i can relate to that is why this is my favourite music video

research into camera lights

Today we researched into camera lights because when we film it is going to be dark so we need to be sure that when we finish filming and we go to edit that the camera actually picks up the light and it is not pitch black, we have looked on E bay and amazon and we are currently considering buying some camera lights so that the video is better because the lighting will make the video look more professional and it will improve lighting.

This is one of the most significant music videos and was the video that brought out 50 cent as a new artist, it starts with Eminem and dre in the labotory trying  program  as if their trying to do test of whether he is ready to be released which was a very clever idea because it helped to introduced 50 to the audience it was like an announcement and really made people intrested in his charecter,  after the song was released 50 cent had this to say about the song

preliminary task

This is our preliminary task, this was done to help us practice edition for our proper music video, we used final cut express and edited the music with the footage we had recorded, in addition to this we also tried to use special effects just to get used to how to do it and try and get used to the feel of editing. the main thing we tried to practice was the lip syncing which was challenging however we got the hang of it in the end and done it perfectly.

We just got back from the summer holidays so i am trying to research things about music videos before i go back into school as i believe it will help me to be ahead of every1 in the media class if i do my research before hand

Brief

This year, we have been given the task of creating a music video which can include an artist or band which can be unsigned or if permission is given a signed artist. I will include all the plans and steps as we go along. This year as well as the video we will create a Digi pack and a magazine advert to go with it which will be like a release for our CD.
