Evaluation Question 2:How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts (DVD digipak, Magazine advert)?

We spent a lot of time on the Digi Pak and Magazine advert in order to make it succesfull and we wanted to use aspects from the Digi pak so it links with the magazine advert, and this is something we have done effectively as we used similar images from the Magazine advert and used it so that the whole package is effective, because we looked at examples of magazine adverts and they have to be similar to the digi pak or else your product looses its focus and that is why our digi pak and magazine advert is so effective because i believe it can attract an audience with all the bright lights and colour it is also very similar to the music video so everything is put together effectively to create a good combination of the main product.


The next thing we wanted to do was make sure our Digi Pak and Magazine Advert looked as professional as other Digi Pak therefore we used software's like photoshop. we also wanted to continue to keep that night feel of the video into the Digi pak because all of these things would have an impact on the final video to continue too keep that link between the video and the Magazine advert and Digi Pak because these combinations are vital too have if you want to have a successful combinations of product.


However Before we could make a good and effective Magazine advert and Digi Pak we had to pick the right song and pick the right location that is why we done a focus group and the focus group really helped us to understand a lot of things which then lead to us creating this Digi Pak and Magazine Advert, if we just chose any random song and the wrong location it would lead to us having a less than acceptable Digi pak so our focus group was really key.




We therefore discovered that a song can be effective because it can energize you , and the music video is also important because sometimes the video can make the song better , so people can like a song just because they like the video.


The feedback we got showed us that the song makes people feel sad and want there girlfriend back so in our music video we protrayed this which then showed in the Digi Pak and Magazine Advert with its Similarities.



The Animatic also helped with our Digi Pak and Magazine Advert because the images we drew before we created the video are the images that we eventually used for the Digi Pak and Magazine Advert which had an impact on the Magazine Advert and made Our final Digi Pak very effective and successful.

To create the effective Digipak and Magazine advert we had to understand what the key things are that have to go on a Digi pak so it can be effective and we did this very well so it shone through to  our final piece in terms of the Digi Pak

Here you can see from the video above that the animatic had an effect on how we created the Digi Pak as the images in the Animatic are on this Digi Pak.

Here you can see that we have made sure that the video has an involvement with the magazine advert and then also has an impact on the final Digi Pak.


This here shows how effective our final Magazine Advert is as this shows how much we improved it to get it to the standard above as first we used it on a software witth not so much features till we made a decision that it was no to the right standard and changed it and started to use photoshop.

All in all i believe that the way we created the Digi Pak and Magazine advert and linked the themes together with the video shows that it is a very effective piece of work especially with all the features and research we done to conducted to make it as good as it is, i believe that if this was a real Digi Pak and Magazine Advert going to go to the shops it would do very well as it has that professionalism look to it.
